WELCOME TO CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF OPEN SCHOOLING

The Central Institute of Open Schooling Examination was established under the aegis of Program of Action of 1992, by the Government of India, and according to the guidelines set forth by the Indian Government’s National Education Policy of 1986. As an autonomous body, our focus is on development of education and we incorporate the assistance of educational experts to expand the horizons of education to underprivileged students, young and old, to enhance literacy in India.

Our educational spheres include non formal Primary, Middle, High School and Intermediate education. Additionally, we also have several vocational courses under the Self Employment Education Scheme, which aim at educating uneducated or under-educated children and adults to improve literacy in the country. Our education does not stop at just books – we follow international standards and techniques to impart moral values, and to enhance our students’ mind, body, personality and social skills.
